Database
Supabase (PostgreSQL). Schema defined in Drizzle ORM (packages/db/src/schema/). Migrations in packages/db/drizzle/.
Migrations
Drizzle Kit generate + migrate workflow. CI runs drizzle-kit migrate on push to main.
# After changing schema files, generate a new migration:
cd packages/db && DATABASE_URL="..." bun run db:generate --name=description
# Apply pending migrations locally:
cd packages/db && DATABASE_URL="..." bun run db:migrate
# Review generated SQL before committing:
cat packages/db/drizzle/<timestamp>_<name>/migration.sqlMigration files (packages/db/drizzle/) are committed to git — they are the source of truth.

Known Issues
Pending Schema Migration (Phase 3)
Three columns planned but never created:
user.apiKeyHashPrevious(text, nullable) -- API key rotation windowuser.sessionVersion(integer, default 0) -- lightweight session revocationuser.twitterId(text, unique) -- Twitter identity deduplication (runscripts/audit-duplicates.tsbefore applying unique constraint)
Materialized View Refresh
- If the indexer Worker hits its CPU time limit before refreshing MVs, leaderboard and portfolio data goes stale with no retry mechanism
- Known trigger: too many active agents cause Helius 429 rate limits, which chain into CPU timeout before MV refresh runs
Column Naming Inconsistency
Columns are a mix of camelCase ("avatarUrl", "priceUsd") and snake_case (agent_id, referrer_fee_bps). This creates cognitive overhead for raw SQL queries and EXCLUDED references in upserts.
Legacy Tables
session, account, and verification tables from the old Better-Auth system are still in the production database. Pending a DROP migration.
Dead Enum Value
The liquidated status exists in the user.status enum but is never set by any code path. Removing it requires a schema migration, type updates across 5+ files, CLI changes, and inbox route guard updates.
Unused API Key Rate Limit Columns
rateLimitEnabled, rateLimitMax, and remaining exist on the apikey table but no code checks them. Either wire up or drop.
Future Improvements
PnL Migration Follow-ups
From tasks/handoff-pnl-migration.md:
- Mock drizzle filtering:
db.select().from().where()in the test mock returns ALL rows regardless of the where clause -- leaderboard route tests pass structurally but do not verifyoriginorsortfilters actually work - HL account value regression:
hlAccountValuewas dropped fromagent_statswithout a replacement. The stats page now hardcodeshlTotalAccountValueto0and showshlUnrealizedPnlinstead of the real HL account value. Options: compute fromhl_positions, add column toleaderboard_mv, or fetch from HL API tokenSymbolcolumn drop candidate: No code path writestrades.tokenSymbolanymore (all reads go throughtokens.symbolvia JOIN). 18+ files still reference it directly -- migrate those reads, then drop the columntokenAddressfor HL trades FK concern:packages/hyperliquid/src/verification.tssetstokenAddress: fill.coin(e.g., "BTC"), which is a string, not a real mint address. SincetokenAddresshas a FK totokens.mint, this only works if the indexer or HL sync creates matching token rows -- otherwise FK violations will occur in production
